Important facts about Birds
  1. Bird watching is a hobby for some people.
  2. All birds have feathers.
  3. Birds are warm-blooded, like humans. This means that their bodies remain at the same temperature regardless of the surroundings.
  4. Birds have strong arm and chest muscles and have very light, hollow bones.
  5. During winter, many birds fly to a warmer climate every year. They go there to look for food and stay comfortable. At the end of winter, they return to the place they came from, to build their nests and lay eggs. This yearly flight is called migration.
  6. Few birds cannot fly.
  7. When baby birds hatch from eggs in a nest they are blind and bald.
  8. Some birds use sun and stars to help them navigate.
